Four players were present:
- Lieutenant BE-114
Female, Stormtrooper - ID-10T
Male, Stormtrooper - FU-420
Male, Stormtrooper - Lieutenant TK-616
Male, Stormtrooper
Increasing their speed, the imperial speeder is able to hover parallel to the transport’s right flank. TK-616 is concerned about the gun turret on top and quickly takes a shot, causing some damage to the gun. ID-10T fires a shot at the front Wheel, blowing out the tire. The battle-hardened republic soldiers begin to return fire from both the interior and exterior of the transport, as both BE-114 and FU-420 provide cover fire for their comrades.
BE-114 and FU-420 trade blows with the republic troops in a deadly game of attrition. Although the Stormtroopers incur much damage, slowly but surely the republic troopers fall before their superior marksmanship (apparently not the same Stormtroopers from the movies).
ID-10T and TK-616 shimmy across the cable to the roof of the transport. TK-616 fires a final shot and blows up the turret cannon. The remaining troop on the roof rushes ID-10T and a huge sergeant exits the cockpit and charges TK-616. BE-114 and FU-420, join TK-616 and ID-10T in launching a barrage of blaster fire that instantly takes out both troopers.
TK-616 orders Quartz to surrender. To his surprise, Quartz and the remaining trooper put down their arms as Colonel Niven and the rest of the Stormtroopers surround the vehicle.
Thoughts on this Session: Four players joined our Imperial themed adventure this session. Reintroducing Lieutenant TK-616, Lieutenant BE-114, and Colonel Niven from Trouble on Tatooine (all received promotions in Clash on Corellia), they were joined by new Stormtroopers ID-10T and FU-420. Another exciting chase scenario, this time between speeder and transport. It was an old fashion shoot-out until the Stormtroopers took the initiative and tethered the vehicles together. The Star Wars theme music blared and the Wilhelm Screams were never ending.
Rules of Engagement: The figures and fighting stats are from the Star Wars Miniatures game published by Wizards of the Coast in the early 00's. Stats have been slightly modified to give PCs more hp. These will be quick half-hour sessions after our usual monthly D&D session. Players lose some agency, as I explain the scenario (much like the Star Wars movie scroll) and plop them into the action. However, they still get to choose their miniature, name, personality, etc. so there is still a lot of room for role-playing. Each session will feature different characters from across the Star Wars spectrum. Although each session will be a stand-alone chapter, characters will return and storylines will overlap as we see PCs and plots advance. As always, your comments are welcome.
