Five players were present:
- Ffion Tanwen,
Female Dragonborn Cleric - Mortos,
Male Tiefling Druid - Lupin Damakos,
Female Tiefling Rogue +
Willow, Cat Animal Companion - To’Mas,
Male Human Fighter - Garrus Ironside,
Male Dwarf Paladin
As To’Mas marches straight toward the closest door, Lupin takes a quick glance down the right hall but sees only a continuous passage. At that moment, the Registrar (see The Return of Henrick) reappears. Mortos introduces her to the Sphinx figuring that they will get along since they both speak in vague riddles. The two keepers of secrets nod at each other as the Registrar continues writing.
Lighting the ever-burning torch he acquired from Henrick (see The Return of Henrick), To’Mas enters the shadowy tomb. Garrus flanks to the left while Ffion and Brugor follow close behind. Glimpsing flickering shadows, To’Mas moves to the center of the tomb and lights a sun-torch, which illuminates the entire structure.
Stepping back, To’Mas demands to know who their leader is. Suddenly, four Viking warriors step into the light. Stepping forward, one proclaims himself Captain Eric (see Crossroads) and demands to know why they are here. To’Mas proposes a parlay where each side will ask the other three questions they must answer truthfully. The Egalitarian Eric agrees and allows the Armored Adversary to ask away.
The Pugilistic Pirate ponders why To’Mas is searching for Dimva. The Stoic Soldier
states that Dimva is a suspect in the murder of General Sterling (see Choices & Consequences). The Wild Ravager wonders what they will do with Dimva if they find him. The Noble Knight notes that they will bring Dimva back to the United Center where they will question him. The Sundering Savage is satisfied and states that he has no more questions. To’Mas insist that he is a man of his word and demands that Eric asks a third question. A smirking Eric asks him what his favorite color is. Whipping out his sword, To’Mas proclaims: “Red”. Slashing Eric with his sword, The Heroes and Vikings all rush in and brace for battle (aka roll for initiative).
Ffion cast Hallowed Ground, an overlapping field that also adds to The Heroes defenses, while Mortos fends off the Viking to the far left. To’Mas also marks the first Giant, which is problematic for him since he is trying to battle the Levitating Lupin.
With Mortos withdrawal, the Viking rushes Ffion yelling: “Death to the Healer!” Lupin manages to finally slay the first Giant while Mortos cast a spell that causes the second Giant to fall prone. Garrus casts a field around the second Giant that weakens him as long as he remains in it.
The remaining Vikings flee toward the entrance, but Mortos sets off a trap he had planted earlier, blocking the doors shut (player used an event card).

To be continued? ? ?
Lupin showed caution when she checked out the other corridors before venturing into the center chamber. Her patented attack from above and below allowed her to defeat a Giant almost single handedly. Garrus was somewhat skeptical of Brugor, trying to ascertain his motives. His use of marking and area effects was very strategic. Though a Paladin of Kord, he still showed mercy by offering the Vikings a chance to surrender. Ffion also showed her tactical sense during battle by buffing and healing her allies in overlapping areas. Mortos played his area spells to great effect. Walls of fire and thorns helped to corral the enemies in the overlapping zones. To’Mas’ snarky attitude during the parlay was quite humorous; punctuated by his favorite color response. His marking and general brute strength also helped contain the fight and eliminate several of their enemies. His parlaying and admonishment to the fleeing Vikings shows that he is vying for position of spokesperson for the group. Bravo to all!!!
Who are Eric, Not Eric, and Still Not Eric? The Vikings Eric and Not Erics made their first appearance in Scum and Villainy literally as background flavor in a tavern at Mos Eisley. A trio of Vikings in a port town that attracted Dimva’s attention. After an amusing encounter and offer to join them, Dimva’s disappearance (player missed several sessions) was attributed to his joining them on a raid. They last appeared in Crossroads where they journeyed toward Tiny Town with Dimva.
