Two players were present:
- Darth Duplicitous,
Male, Human Sith - Darth Ellith,
Female, Dathomir Sith
On the Sith cruiser’s medical bay, Duplicitous and Ellith are having their severed hands replaced with mechanical prosthetics. Darth Blood enters and mocks the Jedi for thinking they won this battle. He proclaims that they are both stronger now and shall defeat the Jedi when next they meet. Duplicitous vows that they will not fail again. Blood warns that they had best not. As he walks away, Ellith hisses at Duplicitous that he is a fool for reminding Blood of their failure.
Thoughts on this Session: Two players joined our Sith themed adventure this session. This was the counterpoint to Chapter Three, when the Jedi Padawans fought off the Sith Warriors. The light saber duals were quick with players and NPCs trading blows almost equally. A few bad rolls on the part of players set them up for defeat. Both players embraced their evil characters a little too well. It will be interesting to see a battle between the young Jedi and Sith in the future.
Rules of Engagement: The figures and fighting stats are from the Star Wars Miniatures game published by Wizards of the Coast in the early 00's. Stats have been slightly modified to give PCs more hp. These will be quick half-hour sessions before our usual monthly D&D session. Players lose some agency, as I explain the scenario (much like the Star Wars movie scroll) and plop them into the action. However, they still get to choose their miniature, name, personality, etc. so there is still a lot of room for role-playing. Each session will feature different characters from across the Star Wars spectrum. Although each session will be a stand-alone chapter, characters will return and storylines will overlap as we see PCs and plots advance. As always, your comments are welcome.
