Two players were present:
Stormtrooper TK-616
Stormtrooper BE-114
TK-616 helps out Captain Niven and checks on his health. Niven is seriously injured. Niven tells the troopers that he is unsure why, but the Empire is extremely interested in Candor and it is vital that they deliver him to the Imperial base alive.
BE-114 enters the shuttle and searches for anything they can use. Taking two pistols from the dead pilots, she also procures some rations before activating the homing device. BE-114 hands a pistol to a grateful TK-616 who suggest a weapon’s check. Candor claims that if they give him a gun, he can help fight. BE-114 quickly denies that request. TK-616 asks Captain Nevin if he needs a pistol. Niven replies that he already has one, but won’t be much help in the fight, unless the enemies stand right in front of him.
As an Imperial transport flies into view, Captain Niven congratulates the troopers on a job well done. He states: “I don’t know why this prisoner is so important, but the Empire has gone to great lengths to find him.” He then proceeds to tell them that he will recommend them both for the highest commendations. BE-114 replies that “they were just doing their duty.” TK-616 proclaims that “they are here to serve the Empire.” At that point, Candor groans “I thinks I’m going to be sick.”
Cue the trumpets: Da DAAAAA Da Da Da DAAAAA Da!!!!!!!
Thoughts on this Session: This was the first session of our Star Wars role playing game, and what an appropriate, unplanned, day to post it. May the 4th be with you! One player is a hard core Star Wars fan, while the other knows little about it. Both did extremely well playing Stormtroopers TK-616 and BE-114 respectively. The figures and fighting stats are from the Star Wars Miniatures game published by Wizards of the Coast in the early 00's. Stats have been slightly modified to give PCs more hp. These will be quick half-hour sessions before our usual monthly D&D session. Players lose some agency, as I explain the scenario (much like the Star Wars movie scroll) and plop them into the action. However, they still get to choose their miniature, name, personality, etc. so there is still a lot of room for role-playing. Each session will feature different characters from across the Star Wars spectrum. Although each session will be a stand-alone chapter, characters will return and storylines will overlap as we see PCs and plots advance. As always, your comments are welcome.
