Name/Race/Class: Lupin Damakos, Tiefling Rogue.
Who Are You?
Where are you from (a large Kingdom/small village)? Name:
I’m from the small city of Corden
Social Class (Royalty/merchant/farmer/pauper):
I grew up mostly on my own in the slums on the outskirts of Corden but I left there when I was seventeen to become an adventurer and travel around.
Where did you get your training/equipment:
I swiped my short sword off of a passing traveler and picked up what I could here and there, one or two of my better pieces I won in a game of dice against a small group of soldiers at a tavern I was staying at.
Appearance (Handsome/beautiful/average/ugly):
I’m of average appearance for a tiefling. With tan colored skin, torso length black hair and golden eyes. My stature is on the smaller side. When standing I’m 4 feet 11 inches tall.
Weapons (Pristine/tarnished/well used):
My weapons have been well used but I do my best to keep them in top condition.
Clothes (Pristine/fancy/exotic/average/well worn):
My clothes are average. I have a skin tight, black, long-sleeved wool shirt with soft, grey, leather pants. I have a pair of fingerless black gloves to help me keep a better grip. As for shoes, I don’t wear any. It’s easier for me to walk quietly when there’s nothing between me and the earth, plus it saves on expenses.
Why Are You Here?
I’m here for the adventure and the chance to see more of the world while hopefully gaining a bit of a name for myself.
Were you sent because you are the (best/worst):
I’m here because I’m here. Nobody sent me because I’m some amazing fighter or excel in magics or the like. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time and I’d be a fool not to take an opportunity when presented with one.
Did you (Volunteer/Take someone’s place/Just saw people gathering and thought you could get a free meal):
I didn’t know what this was at first; I just saw a bunch of people gathering in one spot discussing something and getting all excited so I got curious and asked around. Once I found out what was going on I set my sights on the United’s stronghold and the challenge it presented.
Name a living loved one (Family/friend/lover? Race/class):
I have a friend named Rose, a human bard; I met out on the road. We were traveling in the same direction so we decided to go together. Since I was just sort of wandering around seeing what I could I decided to stick with her for a while and we ended up being traveling companions for about a year. Now that I’m joining this venture we’ve decided to part ways but I hope that one day we can meet up again.
Name an enemy (Who/Why? Race/class):
If I have enemies it would probably be anyone charged with enforcing the law. I’m not some hard core criminal or anything but I am a thief, so I gotta avoid anyone who would stop me if they caught me pick pocketing stuff.
Name of a friend/family/loved one who died (How? Race/Class):
When I was a kid living on the streets of Corden, there was a dwarf woman who would take care of me when she could. She would give me a place to sleep and in return I’d bring back food I had nicked from the market. But she was old and after a particularly hard season she passed away and someone else moved into her living area while I went back to living on the streets.
Racial hate (Humans/Orcs/Vampires/etc.)? Why:
I absolutely loath lichs, in my opinion they are one of the freakiest and most evil of all creatures. They don’t care about anything except power and knowledge and they live forever so if you can’t kill it there’s no hope for you. Bubye nice knowing ya. If I have to face one and I can’t win I’m high tailing it out of there with my tail between my legs.
Who Do You Serve?
Since this is set in quasi-medieval times, chances are you were brought up in some religion. Please pick an appropriate God/religion for your character from the handbook.
Religion/God you were brought up with/converted to:
Olidammara, the Laughing Rogue
Religion/God you practice now:
I still remain a firm follower of Olidammara.
How strong is your belief (Zealot/strong/average/weak/atheist)? Why?:
My belief is pretty strong. When I was younger I didn’t follow any religion or have anyone bother to try and teach me to follow one of the deities.
One day I snuck into a tavern and managed to lift a man’s coin purse as he was eating his meal, but before I could sneak away he grabbed me and took his purse back. I was so scared he was going to call the tavern owner or a guard but instead he set me down, handed me a couple of coins and told me that the Laughing Rogue had blessed me with talent and that with practice I could become an expert thief. I had no idea who this laughing rogue was and when I asked the man he told me to ask the tavern’s master about the deity Olidammara.
I learned that Olidammara is the god of rogues, tricksters, wine, music, and laughter and as his followers we are to seek out happiness, joy, and entertainment and avoid being serious and miserable because they are poison to the soul. He isn’t a very strict god, preferring to have fun and revel at life. This is why I follow him and believe in his way so strongly.
