A brief explanation. Mini Adventures are what we play when there are two to three PCs, or when key players who are pivotal to the plot are absent. It originated when our former DM was absent for about 6 months and I filled in with only 2-4 PCs per session. Mini Adventures are one-off stories, while not part of our campaign (or a campaign unto itself), there is some consistency and reoccurring NPCs.
The Heroes rest and search the room, finding magical items and much gold, except for Globgums who, once again, finds only ten gold pieces (players roll a d12 x 10 for gold, Globgums always gets a 1). With their health restored, bolstered with new items and gold, The Heroes head toward the gala by the shore. . . and the Accountess???
To be continued? ? ?
*Carrying spiked pool sticks: Spiked = Barbed; pool sticks = cues - Barbed Cues (Barbecues). Globgums got a +2 AC magic ring for solving this.
**A large Fire Elemental radiating and flailing his arms: Fire Radiating = heat; flailing arms = waving - Heat Wave. Egnarts got a +2 AC cloak of Kevlar for solving this.
***A male child of the sand and sea: Male child = son; sand and sea = beach - Son of a Beach. Sregor got a scabbard that gives his sword +2 attack once per encounter for solving this.
****A great gala by the seashore: Seashore = Beach; gala = ball - Beach Ball. Tinderhell got a +2 AC magic ring for solving this.
